Position Summary
The Provisionally Licensed Behavior Analyst (PLBA) is an early-career clinical role designed for individuals who hold a Missouri PLBA license (or are eligible) working under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA). The PLBA assists in assessment, treatment development, supervision of RBTs, and direct service provision while developing skills required for independent practice. This is a growth-oriented role with structured mentorship, supervision hours, and advancement pathways within Bright Arch ABA.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Treatment
- Conduct assessments under supervision, including FBAs, preference assessments, and skills assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, Vineland).
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs aligned with the supervising LBA’s guidance.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret client data to inform ongoing treatment decisions.
- Provide direct clinical services when appropriate.
Supervision of RBTs & Technicians
- Assist in training and supervising Registered Behavior Technicians.
- Deliver performance feedback, modeling, and coaching to support treatment fidelity.
- Participate in competency evaluations and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
Caregiver & School Collaboration
- Support caregiver training and education using applied behavior analytic strategies.
- Coordinate with school personnel, therapists, and interdisciplinary providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in IEP meetings when relevant.
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete session notes, treatment plans, progress reports, and assessments under supervisory review.
- Ensure all work meets Bright Arch ABA documentation standards, BACB requirements, and Missouri licensing guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records for supervision hours and licensure progression.
Professional Development
- Attend regular supervision with the supervising LBA/BCBA.
- Participate in internal trainings, case reviews, and continuing education opportunities.
- Work toward fulfilling requirements for full LBA/BCBA licensure.
Qualifications
Required
- Master’s degree in ABA, psychology, education, or a related field aligned with MO licensing requirements.
- Current Provisionally Licensed Behavior Analyst (PLBA) credential in Missouri or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Strong ability to collect and interpret behavioral data.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned service area.
Preferred
- Supervised fieldwork or prior experience delivering ABA services.
- Experience supervising or training frontline staff.
- Familiarity with Medicaid and commercial insurance documentation.
- Crisis response or safety care training experience.
